Cambridge, Mass. - Lesley University Track & Field athlete Mike Fleming (Southwick, MA.) was recognized as the NECC Men's Track & Field: Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday. Fleming is the first Lesley Track & Field student-athlete to receive the weekly honor this season.
Fleming received the award due to his performance in the Long Jump at the Regis Classic this past Friday (4/5/19). Flemings jump of 5.57 meters was enough for 6th place and earned the Lynx a point in team scoring. Fleming also had strong performances on the track as well. In the 100m dash Fleming finsihed 12th with a time of 11.95 sec, and in the 200m dash ranking 13th place, clocking a time of 24.61 sec.
