Providence, R.I. - The Lesley men's tennis team fell in non-conference matchup with Rhode Island College (RIC), 9-0, on Monday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Complex on the campus of RIC. After the loss, Lesley move to 0-5 overall while RIC improve to 4-1 on the season.
LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS:
The Anchormen held a 3-0 advantage after a sweep of doubles. Finishing No 1. (8-2), No 2. (8-2), and No. 3 (8-2) in respective order.
Meanwhile, in singles play, RIC would go on to complete the sweep of the Lynx, 9-0. Lesley fell in singles matches, in the respective order, No. 2 (6-1, 6-2), No. 6 (6-0, 6-0), No. 4 (6-2, 6-0), and No. 5 (6-0, 6-2). The match would close with William Sgro (North Haven, CT.) and Patrick Corcoran (West Hartford, CT.) on the wrong end of close matches. Corcoran, at No. 3 singles fell 6-3 and 6-4, while Sgro was defeated 6-4 and 7-5 at No. 1 singles, finishing in respective order.
