Costa scores two goals in 2-0 win over Lynx

WATERVILLE, Me. - Thomas College's Tim Costa (Pelham, N.H.) took only two minutes to score the game's first goal and only goal the Terriers would need to win the game.

Costa's goal came at 2:03 and was assisted by Matt Mitchell (Sanford, Me.).

The score remained at 1-0 for much of the game until 70:38 when Costa would net a much needed goal to cushion the lead for the Terriers.

Lesley's Sonny Ljutica (Rexford, N.Y.) played well in goal, saving four shots but was outplayed by Thomas' Keegan Curtin (Durham, Me.) who stopped six shots from the Lynx en route to the shutout.

The loss dropped Lesley's record to 0-2-0 (0-0-0 NECC) while Thomas won their opening contest of the 2008 season.

The Lynx will be back in action on Wednesday against Regis College in a non-conference match up.
