CAMBRIDGE, MA - The Lesley University Men's Soccer Team couldn't
overcome being out shot 41-26 over the weekend, dropping a pair of
non-conference games at their home turf at BB&N.
The Lynx lost to Emerson, 3-0, Saturday night, and 4-1 to St.
Joseph's (ME) on Sunday afternoon.
Despite being kept busy, freshman goalie Imad Elkatrib (North
Quincy, Mass.) played well in net, making 12 saves in each
contest.
He even added an assist when his punt on a wet and rainy pitch on
Sunday found sophomore forward Nick Wilkins (Lincoln, Mass.) in
stride inside St. Joseph's penalty box where he one-timed a shot
with his right foot off the far post with 13 minutes remaining in
the second half.
Lesley is now 3-4-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the NAC.
The Lynx will travel to Newbury College for a 3:30 p.m.
non-conference match on Thursday, then head to Vermont for the
weekend, where they will play North Atlantic Conference opponents
Castleton State at 3 p.m. on Saturday and Johnson State at 3 p.m.
on Sunday.
