Lynx Struggle Against Amherst Mammoths

GAME OVERVIEW:

AMHERST, MA. -- The Lesley men's basketball team fell to the Amherst Mammoths by a 116-44 score on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx fall to 0-10 on the season, while the Mammoths move up to 10-2 overall.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Chase Howard had fourteen points for the Lynx, going 6 of 14 from the field and two of three from beyond the arc. Howard's points per game average is now at 19.1, ranking third in the NECC.
  • Amherst, ranked number 20 in the most recent NCAA DIII poll, shot 59.7% from the field and 50% from three. Six players scored in double figures, with Tommy Mobley leading the way with 18 off the bench.
  • The Mammoths got 11 points from Grant Robinson and 10 from Fru Che. Josh Chery did not score, but grabbed nine rebounds in thirteen minutes. Garrett Day and Michael Schretter added 14 and 15 points off the bench, respectively.
  • The Lynx got 11 points from Kostas Tatsis, but struggled shooting overall. They shot only 26.3% on the afternoon and made only four threes. Lesley also could not get much going from the free throw line, making only ten of eighteen chances.
